Tales from the Dark
Graphic design for an exhibit about fairy tales from an adult perspective. It looks into the history of fairy tales, why they exist, their subject matters, how they evolved and how they spread across borders around europe.

I created a visual style that reminisens of woodblock printing and shadow theater. The use of these visuals is to symbolize how old fairy tales really are. Using only black and white demands attention. Our vision can only see in grays during night, if you can see at all. As you know, the night are when monsters appear.
The few frame stop motion used, evokes the uncanny. But also intrigues, our own mind fills in the blanks. The images used in my video are not taken from any specific fairy tale, but are visuals that gets used in multiple stories.

Made my own type for this project
